The Avignon Airport ( AVN IATA code, ICAO code LFMV ) is located in the southern French department of Vaucluse in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur, about 8 km southeast of Avignon. It is open from 06:00 to 22:00 clock.

History
The airport was opened in 1937. 1948, the first regular air service was taken to Paris. 1989, a new control tower was built. The Aero Club Vauclusien settled in this year down at the airfield. In 1990, the terminal was expanded. In 1997, the northern runway was extended to 1880 meters.
