Aviva
Aviva is the fifth largest insurance company in the world according to AXA, Allianz SE, ING Groep and Fortis. She has about 35 million customers worldwide.
The company was called to July 2002 CGNU and was born from the union of Norwich Union and CGU.
Aviva has launched its Dutch subsidiary Delta Lloyd, whose core markets are Belgium and the Netherlands, in early November 2009 to the stock market. The Dutch Delta Lloyd also has an eponymous German subsidiary, but this has set the Redistribution of insurance and the sales force. Trading center is the NYSE Euro next Amsterdam. The Group received net proceeds in the amount of approximately € 1.12 billion, which is below expectations. Aviva separates in the course of the IPO, only 42.8 % of Delta Lloyd shares and retains 53.0 % of the voting majority stake in the company. The money will be used in particular for acquisitions.
2011 and 2012, Aviva has separated itself from further shares in Delta Lloyd and keeps current, only about 19 % of the shares.
