Avocent Corporation ( NASDAQ: AVCT ) is a manufacturer of IT infrastructure, headquartered in Huntsville (Alabama ). Avocent was formed in 2000 through the merger of the world's two largest KVM Switch Manufacturer Apex and Cybex Computer Products Corporation. In December 2008, the company employed more than 1,800 people worldwide, including about 45 in Germany, especially in Ismaning. Since December 2009 Avocent of Emerson Electric Corporation USA.
