History

The company, founded in 1885, which originated from a sawmill for lumber, began in 1890 with the production of conveyor belts and tires and is listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1933.

Also manufactures the British corporation for industrial use protective equipment and instruments for the dairy industry.

Involvement in motor sport

In the seasons 1981 and 1982 Avon worked as a tire supplier in Formula 1. For the 2011 season we made ​​a new application as a Formula 1- outfitter who was rejected in favor of Pirelli.
