Avre (Eure)

The Avre is a river in north-western France. It rises in the municipality of Bubertré, in the Regional Natural Park of Perche. They generally drained to the northeast and ends after 80 kilometers in Montreuil, just north of the city of Lima, as a left tributary of the Eure.

The river system is part of the French plan for the management and administration of water ( SAGE ). In the area there are also the sources for the drinking water wells of Paris.

The river formed in the Middle Ages the border to the Duchy of Normandy.
