Avrillé is a commune with 12,808 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Maine -et -Loire in the Pays de la Loire.
History
In the 12th century, the founding of a monastery by the Abbess of Ronceray, which existed until the Revolution took place. After the revolution Avrillé remained a rural community dominated that began with the industrial mining of slate in the 19th century. As a neighboring city of Angers Avrillé could participate in the upswing of the 50s and 60s and is now a thriving residential and industrial city.
