Avro Canada C102 Jetliner

The Avro Canada C -102 Jetliner was a four-engine airliner from the Canadian manufacturer Avro Canada. The first flight took place on 10 August 1949, and only 13 days after the de Havilland DH 106 Comet, which was the world's first jet passenger plane. The jetliner remained, in contrast to the Comet, largely unknown.

In the machine there was a four-engine low-wing monoplane with retractable tricycle landing gear. The wings were without sweep. The jet engines were paired together on each side and half integrated into the wing.

It was only a prototype of the aircraft built. The further development was discontinued in favor of military aircraft Avro Canada CF -100. The prototype was eventually scrapped on 13 December 1956. Only the cockpit area of the aircraft has been preserved for posterity in the Canadian Aviation Museum in Ottawa.
