AWAS (formerly Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services ) is an aircraft leasing, founded in 1985, and distribution company, in 1986 leased its first machine at America West. 1986-1991 began the success of AWAS after they ordered large orders with the manufacturers Airbus, Boeing and McDonnell Douglas. In April 2000, the U.S. investment bank Morgan Stanley Dean Witter ( MSDW ) Ansett Worldwide and the value of the fleet of 105 aircraft acquired were around three billion U.S. dollars. 2004 Ansett Worldwide changed its name officially in AWAS, the value of the liquor was, after an increase to 60 aircraft by MSDW, about five billion U.S. dollars.
