Axiata

Axiata Group Berhad ( TM International Berhad until April 2009 ) is a telecommunications company based in Malaysia.

The establishment of Axiata on July 12, 1992 under the name Telekom Malaysia International Sdn. Bhd.. ( TMI) as part of Telekom Malaysia ( TM) and grow with the objective of mergers and acquisitions. Celcom, the mobile arm of Telekom Malaysia was outsourced in the first quarter of 2008, in TMI and the company of the parent company TM cleaved. The Company's shares began trading on April 28, 2008, the Bursa Malaysia. A name change to Axiata Group Berhad successes in March 2009.

The company is listed FTSE Bursa Malaysia Bursa Malaysia KLCI equity index. It has more than 160 million network subscribers and has more than 25,000 employees in Asia. (2010 )

In Malaysia ( Celcom ) and Cambodia ( Hello Axiata previously casacom ) there are subsidiaries that are fully belong to Axiata. Furthermore, there are majority holdings in Bangladesh ( Robi ), Indonesia (XL Axiata ) and Sri Lanka (Dialog Axiata ) and several minority investments in India ( Idea Cellular ), Singapore ( M1) Iran, Thailand and Pakistan. With 44.51 percent of the holding company of the Malaysian government Khazanah Nasional is the principal owner of Axiata. (As of August 28, 2009 )
