Axicon

An axicon is a special, tapered ground lens. An axicon is a point source to a line along the optical axis from, or transforms a laser beam into a ring. The axicon can also be used to convert a Gaussian beam into a Bessel -like beam, which leads to "self - healing " properties and a narrower main lobe.
