Ayauhteotl

Ayauhteotl ( Nahuatl: Goddess of mist from ayauitl: Fog and teotl: goddess ) is in the Aztec pantheon a manifestation of the goddess of water Chalchiuhtlicue.

Ayauhteotl is the goddess of the night and morning fog and haze and because of their shady character, the goddess of vanity and fame. She is the daughter of Teteoinnan and the sister of Tlazolteotl and Itzpapalotl.
