Ayler Records

Ayler Records is a Swedish jazz label.

Ayler Records was founded in 2000 by Jan Ström; which has since appeared on the label live recordings move in the stylistic spectrum between free jazz and improvised music. The music will be released in the form of special digipack with cover design. The catalog from 2003 comprised sixteen plates recordings of musicians like Noah Howard, Peter Brötzmann, John Stevens, William Parker, Hamid Drake and Assif Tsahar, Sunny Murray, Scandinavian musicians such as Per Henrik Wallin and the namesake Albert Ayler. In addition, recordings of Jimmy Lyons, Jemeel Moondoc, Henry Grimes or Mongezi Feza were added ( with Okay Temiz and the quartet of Bernt Rosengren ). As of 2007 the majority of new publications appeared only in the form of digital downloads.
