Ayr (Scottish Parliament constituency)
Ayr is a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies the election Region South of Scotland, which was re- cut by the revision of constituencies in 2011 and renamed in South Scotland. Here, the boundaries of the electoral district Ayr were redrawn and slammed wide, sparsely populated areas in the east to the neighboring constituency of Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley. In contrast, now is the eponymous town of Ayr entirely within the constituency. The constituency includes the coastal areas of South Ayrshire between Ayr and Troon and appoint a deputy.
