Ayuko Ito

Ayuko Itō (Japanese伊藤 亜 由 子, Itō Ayuko; born September 29, 1986 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese Shorttrackerin.

Already thirteen years old Ito went for the first time of the season at a major international event to the start of the Junior World Championship 2003 in Budapest, where she won the bronze medal at first. Even a year later in Beijing with their first single starts pushed her over 1500 meters before the semi-finals. After these good results, the Japanese Association put them at the age of 14 years for the first time in the short track speed skating World Cup in February 2004 at the start, there she was disqualified with the season in the semifinals. Also in the season 2004/ 05 reach the Japanese in the World Cup have had little success, best result was a 20th place over 500 meters.
