Ayumi Morita
Ayumi Morita (Japanese森田 あゆみ, Ayumi Morita, born 11 March 1990 in Ōta ) is a Japanese tennis player.
In individual Morita reached so far with four WTA tournaments the semi-finals: 2009, she was forced to retire due to injury in Strasbourg on clay against Lucie Hradecká, the same year she lost in Guangzhou on hard court against Alberta Brianti in straight sets, 2010, she failed in Kuala Lumpur also hard to Alissa Kleibanowa and in the spring of 2013, finally succumbing to the same place Karolina Pliskova in two straight sets. Her best Grand Slam result it reached in 2011 and 2013 with the first knockout round of the Australian Open.
In doubles, she performed with her compatriot Junri Namigata on the WTA tour the playoffs from Bangkok ( 2007) and Tokyo (2008). On the Women's Circuit ITF she won eight tournaments in singles and with changing partners three in doubles.
Morita is since 2007 member of the Japanese Fed Cup team in 2008 and took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
