Az Yet

Az Yet is a four-piece American R & B band. It was founded in 1990 in Philadelphia and celebrated the mid-1990s with the support of the music producer Babyface two international hits.

Career

Originally Az Yet by Shawn Rivera and Dion Allen as a duo was born. Later joined the singers Kenny Terry, who had the two met singing in the lobby of the Wyndham hotels in Philadelphia, and Darryl Anthony of the band. Some demo recordings took over his wife's mother Jacqueline McQuam their way into the hands of Babyface. He was fond of the sound of the band and invited them to play as the opening act of After 7 and El Debarge.

Published in 1996 Az Yet the record label LaFace Records their debut album named after the band. The first single from the album Last Night rose to No. 1 on the U.S. R & B charts and was awarded in the United States with a gold record. With their second single Hard to Say I'm Sorry, a cover of the band's hits Chicago, Az Yet able to repeat this success. She was 100 and reached platinum status at # 8 on the Billboard Hot. 2002, the album was certified platinum.

In the following years the occupation changed hands several times after some members had left the band due to creative differences.
