Azahari Husin

Azahari bin Husin ( * 1957 in Malaysia; † 9 November 2005 Java) was the main bomb maker terrorist Jemaah Islamiyah, which is closely linked to Al- Qaeda.

He studied in the 1970s in Australia at the University of Adelaide, but reached no conclusion. He then went back to Malaysia for some time and later to Great Britain to the University of Reading, where he studied geophysics and subsequently received his doctorate. In the late 1990s he was trained in Afghanistan and the southern Philippines as a bomb maker. He also created a 50 - page manual, bomb-making. Bin Husin is suspected to be one of the men behind the bombing in Bali in 2002.

On 9 November 2005, Azahari bin Husin blew himself up in the air after his house was surrounded by police.
