The Azamara Journey ( formerly R Six, Blue Dream ) is a cruise ship of Azamara Club Cruises, a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd..

History

The ship was built in 2000 by the Chantiers de l' Atlantique in Saint- Nazaire, the sixth ship of the comprehensive eight ships " R-Class " for the shipping company Renaissance Cruises and was named R Six. The ship was sold in early 2001 to the company Cruise Invest. Because of insolvency introduced Renaissance Cruises end of September 2001 the operation and the R Six was launched by mid-2003. After that, she was chartered to the cruise line Pullmantur Cruises and of these used under the marketing name for Blue Star Cruises (but not yet officially renamed ). Since July 2005, the ship was called the Blue Dream. As of 2006, the ship Pullmantur was used. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.. , Since 2006, the parent company Pullmantur, its new subsidiary Azamara Cruises, where it was renamed Azamara Journey and transferred the Blue Dream on 15 December 2008 since then with her sister ship Azamara Quest, the former R Seven, world is used for cruises. Azamara Cruises was now renamed Azamara Club Cruises.

Equipment

The vessel has 355 passenger cabins, 26 of which inside cabins. They are between 14.6 m2 ( the smallest inside cabins ) and 52 m2 ( penthouse suite, 73 m2 with veranda ) large. In addition to a main restaurant, a buffet restaurant and two specialty restaurants are poolside grill and bar, a café, indoor bar and the " Looking Glass " observation lounge as localities with service available. Other facilities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a casino, a show lounge with dance floor and a library.
