Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks (born 31 May 1991, New York) is an American rapper.

Career

Azealia Banks was a student at New York's LaGuardia High School of Music and Dramatic Arts and tried as an actress and musical actress, before she turned to the hip- hop music. She appeared as Miss Bank $ and made first recordings among others, the music project Major Lazer. After the separation of XL Records, where no solo release came, she went to England to work with producer Paul Epworth on a debut album. In September 2011, she made the song 212, which is based on a sample of Lazy Jay, the first time to a greater extent attention.

Early 2012 took Banks at the BBC forecast for the Sound of 2012 3rd place immediately afterwards 212 rose through the download demand number 75 in the UK charts. There followed a proper re-release, three months after the first entry the single reached number 12 in England and also in Belgium and the Netherlands, she came into the Top 20
