Aztec writing

The Aztec writing is one of the indigenous Mesoamerican writing systems. This document had not yet reached the stage of a full-fledged writing, when it was wiped out by the Spanish conquistadors. Most of the documents were burned in the missionary zeal of the devil's work. The most famous document received in the Aztec writing is the Codex Mendoza, which is after the first viceroy of New Spain, Antonio de Mendoza, named. He is now in the Oxford Bodleian Library.
