Azzedine Brahmi

Azzedine Brahmi (* September 13, 1966 in Sétif ) is an Algerian former steeplechaser.

The African champions of 1988 and 1989 took part twice in the Olympic Games. In Seoul in 1988, he was ranked 13, 1992 in Barcelona, he finished in eighth place respectively in the obstacle course. The greatest success of his career celebrated Brahmi at the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo. There he won the bronze medal in 8:15,54 minutes behind the Kenyans Kiptanui ( 8:12,59 min) and Patrick Sang ( 8:13,44 min).

Brahmi also won in 1991 at the Mediterranean Games and was second there in 1993. He won four Algerian championships, three in the steeplechase (1986, 1988, 1989 ) as well as in the 1500 -meter run.

Azzedine Brahmi is 1,78 m tall and had a competition weight of 64 kg.
