Bø is a municipality in the middle of the Norwegian Telemark.

The city was founded on January 1, 1838 1867 Lunde was decoupled from Bø, we would just be a separate municipality. Bø is known for its folk traditions and is home to one of the four branches of College Telemark. It was referred to in the literature frequently as " the most beautiful place on earth."

The name of the city is roughly equivalent to farm. The coat of arms was used from February 19, 1988, shows three golden fiddles on red background, chosen as a symbol because of the fame of the city for traditional music and because of the production of fiddles.
