B36 Tórshavn ( " B36 " stands for Bóltfelagið 1936 " ball club in 1936 " ), also known as FC Tórshavn is a Faroese football club.

History

The club was founded on 28 March 1936. In addition to HB Tórshavn is the second football club in the Faroese capital Tórshavn. Both share the home stadium Gundadalur.

B36 was previously nine times Faroese champions: 1946, 1948, 1950, 1959, 1962, 1997, 2001 and 2005, 2012 Cup Winners' Cup they were in 1965, 1991, 2001, 2003 and 2006 with approximately 500 members, it is one of the biggest football clubs in the Faroe Islands.. .

Women's Soccer

The women's team of B36 was also successful in the past. Right in the premiere season of 1 Deild succeeded in the championship final with a 2-1 against HB Tórshavn, the first track. In the Cup the team was very successful, there succeeded in 1991 with a 1-0 against HB Tórshavn, the first success. The sixth and final Cup victory was achieved in 2005, after the 2008 season, the team moved to a total of four championships back in the premier league. In 2011, B36 back to the top flight and was able to establish itself immediately as a third force, a year later, was even the runner-up.
