Babati

Babati (also called Babati Town) is a city in Tanzania, capital of the district and the capital of Manyara Region. It is located about 170 km south of the city of Arusha.

Nearby Babatis are the Babatisee and Hanang, the fourth highest mountain in Tanzania. According to the 2002 census Babati has 303 013 inhabitants. The place is home to the Tanzanian Teachers Union ( Tanzanian Teachers Union).
