Babushkinskyi Raion, Dnipropetrovsk

The Rajon Babuschkinski (Ukrainian Бабушкінський район / rayon Babuschkinskyj; Russian Бабушкинский район / Babuschkinski raion ) is one of eight administrative districts ( Rajone ) of the city of Dnipropetrovsk, the Oblastzentrums the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

It is located in the southern part of the city on the right Dneprufer and is equipped with 148 654 inhabitants ( 2008) is the fourth most populous and with an area of ​​about 31 km ², the sixth- largest administrative region of Dnipropetrovsk.

The name is derived from the Russian politician and revolutionary Ivan Vasilyevich Babuschkin. The Rajon was founded on 12 April 1973.
