Baby Halder

Baby Halder ( Bengali: বেবী হালদার, Bebi Haldar, born June 19, 1973 in West Bengal ) is an Indian writer who was known for her autobiography published in 2002, Alo Andhari in India.

2006 appeared the English translation of " A Life Less Ordinary ". In Germany the Draupadi Verlag published the book in 2008 under the title " No ordinary girl ." This Baby Halder describes her childhood in a poor family. Her childhood ended at age twelve, when she was married to a 14 years old man. At 14 she had her first child. Two more followed. One day she decided with her three children flee from her husband because this beat her and the children. In Delhi, Baby Halder began a new life and earned her own money by household work. Your boss, the Anthropology Professor Prabodh Kumar, a grandson of the famous Indian writer Premchand, encouraged her to write her life story.
