Formation

Mr. Big had been a successful group in the 1990s, it was using some radio oriented written titles managed to reach a wide audience and gain worldwide recognition. Their most successful single was released on their second album, Lean Into it song To Be with You, with the group in 1991 reached each place of the charts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the USA - only in the UK, it was only enough for third place. Also, if the band could no longer reach so high in the charts later pieces such as Just Take My Heart or the cover of Cat Stevens song Wild World to known titles of the group were. Until its dissolution in 2002, the band had released six studio albums and achieved while in Japan the greatest successes. Apply to virtually every studio album, a live album was released there.

Reception

Rocks awarded no rating for the album, but wrote:

" After seven years out, Mr. Big are back with a brimful double CD and DVD of the same name. The successful concert of 20 June 2009, demonstrates in the Tokyo Budokan Arena, what the supergroup still has it. Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey are playing right at the cutting ( chorus included), really serve many hits ( > Green Tinted Sixties Mind ',' Wild World ',' Just Take my Heart < ) and delight with lots of Single spots. For a certain amount of variety on > Back to Budokan < also provide two new studio numbers - the new composition > Next Time Around "and the Argent cover Hold > Your Head Up ," which, however, more bite would have done well - and > To be with < you as an acoustic version "

Also no score remained the review of the magazine Rock Hard:

" On Zack the reformed recently Americans are yes, if you consider that the double live album and DVD, also available with the same " Back At Budokan " were recorded on the currently running tour and are already in the shops. The euphoria of the Japanese with hits like ' Green- Tinted Sixties Mind "," Just Take My Heart ', ' Addicted To That Rush ', ' Wild World ', ' Promise Her The Moon ', ' Baba O'Riley ' and ' to Be with You ' on large, while at the impressive solos of the outstanding musicians fascinated by dead silence reigns. On ' Smoke On The Water ' would you have done without, the new track 'Next Time Around ' on the other hand sounds like MR. BIG in top form. And bad live performances There's never been of singer Eric Martin and his colleagues anyway. "
