Backspacer is the ninth studio album by the American band Pearl Jam. It was released in September 2009 on the band's own label Monkeywrench Records, distributed by Universal Music Group and license agreement with Iceland Records. It is with just under 37 minutes running time, the shortest studio album of the band's history.

Formation
