Backstreet Boys

The Backstreet Boys are an American boy band. The band was founded April 20, 1993 in Orlando, Florida by Lou Pearlman. Worldwide she has sold more than 100 million records, making them the most successful boy band.

Band History

In 1992, Howard Dwaine Dorough, Alexander James McLean and met at a talent contest. Nicholas Gene Carter came a short time later. Kevin Scott Richardson worked at that time still as a model and songwriter. Kevin beat his cousin Brian Littrell Thomas before the band who sang in the church choir at the time. Johnny Wright, previous manager member of New Kids on the Block, was hired by Pearlman as their manager.

In autumn 1995, the Backstreet Boys started their career with the single We've Got It Going On. In Germany, the single reached gold status. On June 23, 2006 Kevin Richardson left the group after 13 years.

The four remaining Backstreet Boys released after a year on 5 October 2007, the first single as a quartet with the title Inconsolable.
