Bad Bertrich
Bad Bert Rich is one of Rhineland- Palatinate, Staatsbad and spa town in the Eifel and belongs to the district Cochem-Zell, in Rhineland -Palatinate. The municipality belongs to the municipality elms.
Geography
Bad Bert Rich is in the Üßbachtal in the Southern Eifel, near the Moselle.
The village of Bad Bertrich consists of the districts of Bad Bertrich with the living quarters Marie height and Sonnenhof and Kennfus with the living space Lucienhof.
History
Excellent bathing buildings were built in Bertriacum Even under the Roman emperors Valentinian II and Gratian. The oldest written mention dates from 1097; it is a deed Egilbert Archbishop of Trier. 1476 the site was Kurtrierisches Staatsbad. Clemens Wenceslaus of Saxony, the last elector of Trier, was built here from 1785 to 1787 the Electoral castle and used it as a summer and hunting residence. Beginning in 1794, Bad Bertrich under French rule. 1815 it to the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia and became Prussian Staatsbad. Since 1946 Bad Bert Rich is part of the newly founded state of Rhineland- Palatinate. On January 1, 1975, until then independent municipality Kennfus was incorporated into Bath Bert Rich.
Parish council
The local council in Bad Bertrich consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman location.

Culture and sights
In June / July 2007, the Festival Eifel Culture Days newly founded took place in Bad Bert Rich and Himmerod monastery. Is run, the event series with over 90 artists from Rainer Laupichler.
Economy and infrastructure
The mountain spring is a very stable source of salvation in terms of bulk and composition of the ingredients. It is a Glaubersalztherme (sodium sulfate bicarbonate -Therme ).

Others
With the Football World Cup 2006 Bad Bert Rich served as the Swiss national team training camp. The Swiss team stayed at the 5 -star hotel " Haeckers SPA Fürstenhof ". This was made possible, among other things, the then mayor Günter Eichberg, formerly president of FC Schalke 04
