Bad Bodenteich

Bad ground pond is a stain on the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen, Lower Saxony ( Germany ) and was until its dissolution on October 31, 2011 the administrative seat of the velvet municipality bottom pond. Since then, the church belongs to Samtgemeinde Aue based in Wrestedt. This maintains a civil office in the former administration building.

Geographical Location

Bad ground pond is since 1973 a state-approved climatic health resort, and offers since 1985 as Kneippkurort Schroth treatments at. Since 1 October 1998, the patch sports the additional bathroom.

The patch bathroom floor pond consists of the nucleus bathroom floor pond and the hamlets Abbendorf, BOMKE, shotguns, Häcklingen, Kuckstorf, Overstedt, sheep Wedel and Schostorf.

History

On 1 July 1972, the municipalities BOMKE, shotguns, Häcklingen, sheep Wedel and Schostorf were incorporated.

Place name

Former place names of pond bottom were Bodendieck, Bodendik, Bodendyk; Badendieck, Bodendike. The word "soil", Middle High German " gray floor, ground," Middle Low German " BODEM (s), boddem, bodden " and medium Dutch " BODEM " ( " earth, ground" ) was to the 17th century, the secondary design " gray floor ". In the Low German dialects " -d " was articulated only weakly between vowels and disappeared frequently, remained a slight diphthong or a long vowel spoken. "Soil Pond " is in the Low German " bottom - dik " means " below situated, lying pond, lake ".

Traffic

  • The place can be reached via the federal highway 4 and the state roads 265, 266 and 270.
  • Bad ground pond has a station on the railway line Brunswick- Uelzen.
  • The Elbe Lateral Canal runs through the municipality in north-south direction. The Elbe Lateral Canal investors offers moorings for pleasure boats and cargo ships.

Religions

For the Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation heard the St. Peter's Church from 1836 (Tower of 1894), nor the next St. Bartholomew's Church in Lueder and the Christ Chapel in Soltendieck. The parish is part of the South-Eastern region of the church district of Uelzen in Luneburg Sprengel.

The Catholic St. Boniface Church was built in 1960/61, and belongs since 2006 to the Parish of the Divine Saviour in Uelzen. Previously, since 1948, was called " ground pond Heather" in a storage shed on the site of a former ammunition factory, from 1949, also a named Boniface Chapel.

The New Apostolic congregation was abandoned in 2001 and joined the congregation Witt rings.
