Bad Elster Spa Museum

The first bathing Museum in Bad Elster was born in 1880 under Robert Flechsig ( 1817-1892 ), Bernard of Heygendorff ( 1843-1916 ) and the Royal court photographer Emil Tietze ( 1840-1931 ). However, it did not last long and was disbanded shortly afterwards.

After the Second World War some Bad Elster citizens founded with the assistance of Bruno Rudau (1891-1970), a new bath museum, which was redissolved by politically motivated decisions in the sequence.

1993 saw the third foundation of the Saxon Bath Museum of Bad Elster. Housed in Kunstwandelhalle it provides a comprehensive insight into the history of spas in the bathrooms Bad Elster and Bad Bramstedt.

Body of the museum is the art association Bad Elster.

In 2008 the Saxon Bademuseum Bad Elster was completely renovated and redesigned the exhibition complex and newly presented.
