The market is located around 15 km north-east of Rosenheim, 20 km south of Wasserburg am Inn, 30 km west of Traunstein, 8 km north of Prien am Chiemsee and 13 km from the motorway 8 drive away (Junction Bernau am Chiemsee ).

History

During the period of Roman rule ( province Raetia ) led a Roman road from Salzburg to Augsburg about today's municipal area. 924 was the first documentary mention in the archives of the Archbishop of Salzburg with the notation " Zennidorf ". Endorf has long been an official of the reign gamekeeper, which was equipped with the reign Hohenaschau with the high court.
