Vigaun is a municipality with 2015 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the Hallein district in the province of Salzburg in Austria.

Geography

The municipality is located in Tennengau, 15 km south of Salzburg in Salzburg between Hagen and Tennen Mountains, Unterberg on the eastern slopes of the Osterhorngruppe (Salzburger Alps).

The bog is considered mountain of Vigaun that Taugl here is a popular bathing area.

Vigaun is right on the Tauern motorway A 10 and is characterized by its own stop on the line S3 (S -Bahn Salzburg) from the state capital of Salzburg accessible. Name

By decision of 11 December 1978, the Salzburg provincial government has in the Karastralgemeinde Vigaun to light passing Barbaraquelle recognized as a healing source. Since June 26, 2002 is the name of the town of Bad Vigaun.

Economy
