Badge of Honour for Fire Protection

The fire protection of Honour is an award of Thuringia, which can be awarded to members of the fire department in five stages. It has been used since 1992 on the recognition and appreciation of services rendered to the fire protection of the country.

The fire protection of Honour as a plug- Cross is awarded by the Prime Minister, the fire protection Medal with Ribbon and the fire medal in his name by the Home Secretary. The award includes a certificate.

Levels

Steps 2-4 may be awarded for particularly courageous and resolute behavior in use.

The bronze medal fire shows on the front of the coat of arms. It is worn on the red-white- red band.

The fire protection Medal with Ribbon consists of an isosceles enamel cross and flame shows a cross on a red background. In the center is the coat of arms. Also the decoration is worn on the red-white- red band. The flames and cross the border of the cross and tape are kept according to the stage in silver or gold.

When you plug cross a silver or golden embossed wreath of oak leaves connects the individual legs.

The back of the fire honors including the back of the fire medal bearing the inscription: " For merits in fire protection ."
