Badia Polesine

Badia Polesine is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 10,753 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Rovigo in Veneto. The community is located about 23 kilometers west of Rovigo in the Adige River. It represents the northwestern part of the Polesine, the country between the Adige and the Po to its mouth in the Adriatic Sea represents the community is directly adjacent to the provinces of Padua and Verona.

History

Early on, in the 6th century, the La Badia is mentioned. The title città (city) leads the congregation since 1817.

Traffic

Through the community, the Strada Statale 434 Transpolesana leads from Verona to Rovigo. Since 1876 there is also the train station on the line between Verona and Rovigo.

Community partnerships

Badia Polesina maintains partnerships with the Spanish community in Estepa Andalucia and with the French town of Saint -Thibault -des- Vignes in the department of Seine- et- Marne.
