Badrinath

Badrinath is a town in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

The city lies on the Alaknanda River. Above the town is the Nilakantha mountain. In Badrinath is the Badrinath Hindu Temple. The temple belongs to the Hindu pilgrimage Chota Char Dham pilgrimage and to Hindu Char Dham. Because of this temple Badrinath is one of the holy cities of Hinduism. Not least because Badrinath is a popular tourist destination in India.
