Bafoussam

Bafoussam is the capital of Cameroon's western region, in the Bamboutos Mountains.
The city has 242,000 inhabitants ( 2001) and is the commercial center of the region. In her coffee, tobacco and tea are cultivated.
The city has a coffee faculty and a brewery. It is also home to the Bamileke and the seat of the chief of the department Mifi.
Bafoussam is the seat of the Diocese of Bafoussam.
