Baghdad Vilayet
The Vilayet of Baghdad ( Turkish Bağdat Vilâyeti ) was a province ( vilayet ) of the Ottoman Empire. The vilayet Baghdad was created in 1861 and existed until 1918, when it was conquered by the UK and converted by the Sevres Treaty in 1920 in the British Mandate of Mesopotamia.
