Bagirmi (also Baguirmi; own name: ɓarma ) is the language of the people Baguirmi from Chad and belongs to the Nilo-Saharan language family of languages.

It was the official language of the Sultanate of Baguirmi. This language was still spoken by 44 761 1993 Talk, mainly in the Chari- Baguirmi Prefecture.

Baguirmi was declared a literary language, and texts the basic literacy providieren were funded through the efforts of Don and Orpha Raun, which appeared late in their Chadian career during the 1990s.
