Bagley Icefield

The Bagley Icefield (sometimes Bagley Ice Valley) in Alaska extends in the central area of the Saint Elias Mountains and parts of the Chugach Mountains and is the largest glacier ice rink outside the polar regions. It feeds dozens of glaciers and covered as a total area of about 5200 km ².

It was named after James W. Bagley, a USGS topographers, who developed the Bagley - T-3 camera and Alaska charted before the start of the First World War.

The ice rink is located in the protected area of ​​the Wrangell-St Elias National Park.
