Bagnone

Bagnone is a village with 1903 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in Italy. It is located in the province of Massa -Carrara, Tuscany. It is approximately 45 kilometers from Pisa. The village is located in a narrow valley surrounded by oak and pine trees.

Attractions of the village are, for example, the old castle with its donjon, which has arisen in the 13th century. In the chapel of the chronicler Antonio da Faye is buried.

In August 2009, the village was increasingly topic in the media, as a villager won a record lottery jackpot of nearly 147 million euros. As a result, many tourists flocked by Bagnone to visit the bar where the lottery ticket winner yet.
