Bagsværd Church

The Bagsvaerd Church in Bagsvaerd, a suburb of Copenhagen, is a church of the Evangelical Lutheran Danish People's Church. The church belongs to the provost - Gladsaxe Herlev in the diocese of Helsingør. It was designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon and opened in 1976. The strict outer shape of the church is in contrast with the dynamic architecture of the interior. The roof is made of prefabricated steel arched concrete elements. The architectural critic Kenneth Frampton is one of the church as an important example of critical regionalism.
