The oasis town of Bahla (Arabic بهلاء, DMG Bahlā ʾ ) is one of the oldest royal cities of Oman. It is located about 180 km south of the capital Muscat at the foot of the mountain Jabal al - Akhdar. It is surrounded by a 12 km long and 5 m high walls of mud brick. From the 12th to the 17th century Bahla was the capital of the Nabhani dynasty.

Hisn Fort Tamah
