Bahnbetriebswerk Hermeskeil

The small Prussian Bahnbetriebswerk Hermes wedge ( until 1903 machine station ) dates from 1888 and is located directly across from the reception hall of the station Hermes wedge. It has a 6 -position ring Hall (originally 2 -position ), and a 16 m hub (originally 13 m). Bw Hermes wedge ( from 1956 a branch of the Bw simmering, branch dissolved on April 1, 1959) is now privately owned and used as a steam locomotive museum. Among other things, there are about 50 locomotives ( mainly from large steam engines ) off.
