The stretcher is a right tributary of the Silk joke.

Course

It arises as a stretcher creek about 1.5 km north of the village width- ( town of Bad Gottleuba- Berggießhübel ) at 505 m above sea level. NN. The stretcher is formed at Gersdorf (municipality Bahretal ) from three other source streams: in the sand mill Wingendorfer Bach, in the Falkenmühle from the Gersdorfer Bach and the level of the Born mill Bornaer Bach.

Above Friedrichswalde - Ottendorf (municipality Bahretal ) the stretcher is dammed by a retention basin. The crown is 253 m long and lies at an altitude of 263 m above sea level. NN. The wall has a height of 20 m.

North of Friedrichswalde - Ottendorf spans the 325 m long and up to 28 m high viaduct stretcher the valley. Across the bridge, the state road S170 runs as a cross connection from the Federal Highway 17 to State Road S173 in Cotta.

After 16 km, the grave opens at an altitude of 150 m above sea level. NN in Pirna between the hamlets Zuschendorf and Zehista in the silk joke.

Name

The name is derived from the Old High German "bar" ( as much as empty) and " para" ( as much as nakedness, forest clearing, forest aborted ) ago, and thus means empty space, Barren or forest nakedness. The source of the stretcher is on such an empty area or forest nakedness.
