Bahrenfleth
Bahrenfleth is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.
Geography
Bahrenfleth is situated on the fault, about 12 km north of Gluckstadt.
The commune includes the villages of New Churches, Bahrenflether sandy road, Brokreihe, Fiefhusen, Großbahrenfleth, Great wiper, Hohenweg, Kätnerdeich, Kleinbahrenfleth, low wipe, Kuhdamm, watches villages dyke watches Weg.
The Störfähre Else runs between the communities and Beidenfleth Bahrenfleth.
History
1348 the village was first mentioned as Bardenulete, which probably Fleeth or watercourse of Bardo means. A noble estate of the family of van Barneflete, which was already mentioned in 1375, burned down completely in 1728.

- Village church of St. Nikolai New churches; built in the Romanesque-Gothic transition style in the 13th century. The current tower was built in 1750.

The coat of arms on a green background symbolizes the Krempermarsch, the silver wave beams with blue sturgeon, the location of the village on the river sturgeon, ran out of the colonization of the area from which the 13th century. The swan stands for belonging to the Official Krempermarsch which the swan leads, building on the historic " Krempermarsch - Kommüne " as an emblem. The sturgeon indicates the abundance of fish of the river and on the presence of the now so rare fish.
