Bahya ben Asher

Bahya ben Asher ( Bachia ben Asher * in the middle of the 13th century in Zaragoza, † 1340) was a Kabbalist in Spain.

Bahya ben Asher is known primarily for his Pentateuchkommentar. He wrote, among other things beside Kad ha - Qemach ( " flour Jug" ), an ethical font with alphabetical arrangement of topics: purpose of the Diaspora is to show by the example of the Jews of the world the way to the true God, and so bring about the redemption.
