Baix Llobregat

The Baix Llobregat [ baʒ ʎuβɾəɣat ] is a comarca ( Catalan "County " ) in the province of Barcelona, ​​the Autonomous Community of Catalonia in Spain. The community association has an area of ​​487.86 km ² and 694 646 inhabitants (2009 ).

Location

The community association is located in the southern part in the center of Catalonia. It is bordered on the north by the Comarca of Bages, to the east by Vallès Oriental and Barcelonès, on the west by Anoia, Alt Penedès and Garraf and in the south on the 19 km long coast of the Mediterranean. Together with the Comarcas Alt Penedès, Barcelonès, Garraf, Maresme, Vallès Occidental and Vallès Oriental is the region 's territory Àmbit Metropolità de Barcelona.

The long but narrow area is located in the tree on both sides of the valley of the River Llobregat. On the western side is the Garraf massif, on the eastern side of the l' Ordal massif. Economy

Traffic
