Bake
Historically, the term Bake means as much as characters. Today Bake referred to:
- A navigation mark, see the beacon ( navaids )
- A self-rescue device at sea, see Rettungsbake
- Entfernungsbake as a beacon announcement at the roadside in front of railroad crossings, or in front of exits of motorways and expressways
- A beacon to guide traffic on the road
- A beacon, a tracking device with a precisely known position, which is used in the radio navigation for orientation
- So-called flight rod used in surveying
Bake is the surname of the following persons:
- Alfred Bake (1854-1934), a Prussian official
- John Bake (1787-1864), Dutch classical scholar and literary scholar
- Reinhard Bake (1587-1657), German Protestant theologian
